God's love for women around the world doesn't surprise us. We know God is love and that He is faithful. But when we see women loving him despite difficult circumstances, we are inspired and desire to imitate their faith.
One such woman is Tabitha. She is the 16-year-old daughter of our key worker, Shakaib Munawar. Because of persecution, she and her father are often separated. Yet, she continues to follow Christ and honor her father in her difficult life.
Tabitha calls me "grandma" when we talk. Though we live thousands of miles apart, the Lord has intertwined our hearts and united us in Spirit. She will graduate from school on December 13, 2024, and has a deep desire to pursue more education in biblical studies. Tabitha knows God has called her into ministry, just like her father, Shakaib. She has laid her heart open before the Lord and is willing to follow wherever He leads.
This remarkable young Pakistani woman wrote a psalm. It is an inspiration of how the Lord uses the least of us to bless all of us.
To give context to her psalm, Tabitha has often suffered from pain in her bones because of malnourishment as a child. We know you will be blessed! May we be more like Tabitha in our worship of the Lord. Thank you for praying for her and for WGS Ministries which is making a difference in the lives of women around the world.
Tabitha's Psalm of Praise
O my LORD, I will thank You with all my heart.
I will plead with joy before the rock of my strength
Because, LORD, Your power is infinite, and Your love is eternal.
Those who hope in You are not ashamed.
O LORD, my soul sings Your praises, and I will not be silent.
O LORD my GOD, I will always thank You
For, O LORD, when a pestilence surrounded me
and separated the strength from my bones,
The times told the news of disability, and weakness settled in my bones.
O LORD, tears and pain became ingrained in me and my feet forgot to walk.
But O LORD, my soul cried out to you and my heart sought you
Because You, being girded with power, stabilize the world with Your power
and You have made me.
Then You breathed life into my bones and brought me out into
the place of abundance!
Let us sing before the LORD!
Give thanks to Him and bless His name
Because GOD is our strength in weakness and hope in despair!
All my bones will say, LORD, you are my strength!
O LORD, I will tell of Your wonderful works, and I will rejoice and be glad in You,
For in the LORD my heart rejoices, and my bones grow like green grass.
No matter how bad the weather or how many weaknesses arise,
My soul will continue to seek GOD and His strength.
Because You, O LORD, are my strength and my song.
